MCG offered to source a temp GP locum for us and told us they had a candidate in mind. We therefore turned down an offer from someone else to do part of the shift as we really need as much cover as possible. MCG did not respond to my email chasing this and when I called the afternoon before the locum was due to arrive, I was told that there had been "a miscommunication" on their part. No apology and no resolution offered. This kind of blunder is not only unprofessional but it also directly impacts patient care. V disappointing
